About Kellie
Be The Light Events which has been a passion project in the making since the early 2000’s. The journey began with a profound love for orchestrating memorable experiences for family and friends. In 2010, I pursued a career in education, where I dedicated myself to supporting students of all ages and abilities, including those with learning disabilities, and integrating academic technology into the learning process. Each year, I infused the classroom with creativity, crafting engaging lessons that sparked curiosity and inspired growth. Recently, I have taken my skills as an educator, with passion and commitment to helping others to take a leap to found Be The Light Events.
Fun Facts
I am a wife to my incredible husband and a nurturing mother to a bubbly 3.5-year-old. I cherish moments spent with friends and family, tropical escapes, and adventures! My favorites include exploring Amazon, bargain Target finds, savoring a Starbucks paradise drink, eating sushi, pizza, and anything chocolate!
Meaning Behind the Name
The inspiration behind Be The Light Events comes from my immediate family's values. When my husband and I welcomed our son in 2020, we wanted to establish a family motto as we began our journey into parenthood. It was during a drive in the car when the song "Be A Light" by Thomas Rhett came on, and our son's delighted response to the music sparked a profound realization.
Seeing our son's smile and laughter in response to the uplifting lyrics, I knew that this moment held significant meaning. Embracing positivity has always been central to my husband and I’s outlook on life, and this serendipitous event solidified our family motto: Be The Light. This mantra serves as a source of inspiration, guiding us to illuminate the world with kindness and make a positive impact, especially during challenging times. Our son’s joyful personality brightens our day, we call him our SONshine which is why the logo consists of a sun.
When I contemplated naming my business, I found myself drawn back to the significance of Be The Light. Reflecting on what it represents for my family, I realized that it captured not only our principles but also my personal philosophy. Driven by my commitment to spreading joy and creating unforgettable experiences, I founded Be The Light Events.
